Medication-Assisted Treatment

The medication component of treatment helps to alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioids. This allows individuals to better focus on their treatment and recovery without constantly being consumed by the overwhelming urge to seek out and use opioids.

Radiant Prime Recovery offers FDA-Approved medications, including Buprenorphine-containing medication, such as Suboxone, and Naltrexone. These medications work by blocking the effects of opioids on the brain, making it less appealing to use these substances.

Medication-assisted treatment offers several advantages in the journey toward recovery from addiction. Here are some key benefits:

  • Reduced withdrawal symptoms
  • Decreased cravings
  • Enhanced quality of life
  • More flexibility than abstinent-based programs

Studies show that medication-assisted treatment is an effective form of care for people with substance use disorder and increases the odds of maintaining recovery and preventing overdose.

FDA-Approved Medications for Opioid Addiction

We use the latest in addiction medicine, including:

  • Buprenorphine-Naloxone (Suboxone, Zubsolv): This combination not only helps reduce cravings, but also blocks the effects of opioids.
  • Naltrexone: Perfect for those who have detoxed, naltrexone blocks opioid receptors, preventing opioids from having their usual effect.

RX Only: Important Safety Information About Suboxone®

SUBOXONE® (Buprenorphine-Naloxone) is indicated for the treatment of opioid dependence in adults. SUBOXONE®  should not be taken by individuals who have been shown to be hypersensitive to buprenorphine or naloxone as serious adverse reactions, including anaphylactic shock, have been reported.  Taking SUBOXONE®  with other opioid medicines, benzodiazepines, alcohol, or other central nervous system depressants can cause breathing problems that can lead to coma and death.  Other side-effects may include headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation, insomnia, pain, increased sweating, sleepiness, dizziness, coordination problems, physical dependence or abuse, and liver problems. For more information about SUBOXONE® , see Suboxone.com, the full Prescribing Information, and Medication Guide or talk to your healthcare provider.  You are encouraged to report negative side effects of drugs to the FDA. Visit www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088.
