Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at contact@radiantprimerecovery.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Treatment through Radiant Prime Recovery is entirely virtual, which means that patients meet and connect with their provider through secure video and messaging through our HIPAA-compliant app on their smartphones or computer.

Offering treatment via telehealth makes care easy to access anytime, anywhere. Patients complete visits from home or wherever they feel most comfortable. They can then pick up prescriptions at their local pharmacy. We also offer a convenient mail-order delivery service for mental health medications (not including controlled substances).

Telehealth, or telemedicine, offers virtual healthcare through the use of digital devices, like telephones and computers. It is a safe, effective way for patients to meet with their medical providers and is often more accessible and convenient. Many services are available and effective via telehealth, including diagnosis and treatment of chronic disease, as well as behavioral health therapy.

At Radiant Prime Recovery, patients download a smartphone app to engage in video conferencing calls with their providers, and health coaches are available to help patients with setup prior to their first appointment with the medical provider, as well as any ongoing technology questions or concerns. Telehealth for addiction services allows patients to meet with their providers to check-in on their symptoms, manage their medication, address social conditions, and more.

As telehealth becomes more popular as a safe, effective means of seeking medical care, patients and providers alike are responsible for telehealth privacy. Healthcare organizations must ensure their telehealth systems employ encrypted, password-protected videoconferencing, and this is something Radiant Prime Recovery takes seriously to best protect our patients’ privacy. Patients are also responsible for engaging in security best practices, like only using home WiFi (not public WiFi) and ensuring the security of their passwords.

Before the first video conferencing visit with your provider, patients at Radiant Prime Recovery will be educated on security best practices in order to ensure the highest level of privacy and security possible.

Radiant Prime Recovery is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care to each of our patients who may not otherwise have access to care. We believe in treating the whole person with a holistic approach, and we work closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that meets their unique needs and goals.

The ability to remain in treatment (referred to as retention) is the most commonly used measure in published medical literature for evaluating successful outcomes for opioid use disorder treatment programs. Prior to opening Radiant Prime Recovery, our Founder, Jessica McGlone, maintained the highest retention rate among 150 providers in her previous addiction-based clinic.

Just as other health conditions are treated and managed with medication, some substance use disorders are also best treated with the use of evidence-based, FDA-approved medications, known as Medications for Addiction Treatment. This does not mean that medication cures the condition, but it does improve the lives of people who take it.

Our providers work with each patient to create a medication plan that is best for them. We most often prescribe Buprenorphine-containing medications because they are safe and effective for reaching recovery goals and living longer, healthier lives.

We do not offer Methadone.

Our providers work with each patient to create a medication plan that is best for them. We prescribe a range of medications for alcohol use disorder, including naltrexone, acamprosate, topiramate, and others.

A care team is an interdisciplinary team who collaborates with you to craft a treatment plan that best fits your needs. Your Care Team will include the following members:

  • Your Provider - This is a board-certified medical provider who has additional training and experience in the field of addiction medicine and mental health. The provider is responsible for managing your medication plan, supervising and providing your medical care, and addressing related medical issues. Note that your medical provider at Radiant Prime Recovery is NOT your primary care provider, and will not assume care for your medical conditions outside of those directly related to the conditions for which you are being treated at Radiant Prime Recovery.
  • Your Peer Recovery Specialist - This person is someone just like you. Someone who has been where you are and has lived this life. They understand exactly what you are going through. And they also know that you can recover... because they did and still are everyday! This person is your support and mentor, bringing knowledge and experience to guide you in your journey.

No. Visits are conducted virtually and in most cases you can be seen as soon as the next day.

Yes. Radiant Prime Recovery is a harm-reduction program. That means that we will meet you where you are in  your recovery, even if that means that you aren't ready to stop use entirely. We'll customize your treatment plan to your unique needs and goals.

We know that medications like Buprenorphine are life-saving, so we work diligently to ensure that patients have uninterrupted access to their prescriptions. Unexpectedly losing access to medication puts people at risk, and we never want to add stress or uncertaintly to our patient's lives.

However, due to the laws and regulations that surround the prescribing of controlled substances, such as Buprenorphine, we must comply with all requirements in regards to prescribing these medications. Video visits are required to ensure their safe and appropriate use and ensure that you are being properly monitored. The provider will make every attempt to connect with you via video visit, then contact you by phone if you are five minutes late.

If you miss a visit, our team is always here to help you reschedule and you can message with your provider in the app to determine the next steps.

Radiant Prime Recovery admits patients who are over the age of 18 and seeking treatment for a substance use disorder or mental health disorder. Patients must have the mental capacity to provide informed consent for treatment.

No, Radiant Prime Recovery does not discriminate and we welcome patients from all walks of life into our clinic. While Radiant Prime Recovery is a Christ-Centered Organization, we welcome people from all religious beliefs, including those who have none. We have a strict non-discrimination policy in place in regards to our employees and our patients and believe that everyone should be treated equally regardless of age, race, nationality, language, religion, sex, gender identification, disability, marital status, citizenship, and more.  Faith-based support is available for those who seek it, but we will never push our beliefs on you or question you about your personal beliefs.

Yes, Radiant Prime Recovery accepts insurance in Kentucky, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Unfortunately we can not accept payments over the phone. Payments can be made through your online patient portal account.

For self-pay patients, Radiant Prime Recovery offers upfront pricing with no hidden costs.

Our affordable rate is $199 per month, which includes access to your medical provider, prescription management, home urine drug testing, and access to weekly group sessions. The cost of medication is not included in this cost.

No, there is no minimum commitment or contract required. Our patients are treated based on their provider's treatment recommendations. There is no obligation to continue in your program for any specific amount of time and you may request to cancel at any time. However, it is strongly encouraged that you speak with your medical provider prior to ending your treatment to ensure that it is medically appropriate to do so. It is important to remember that substance use and mental health disorders are chronic disorders that require lifelong management.
