Radiant Prime Recovery was established by a couple who has been navigating the challenges and achievements of recovery for over ten years. After experiencing the frustration of outdated protocols, limited access to care, and many failed treatment programs, the two wanted to provide a better experience for those seeking treatment for substance use and mental health disorders.
In 2008, Matt McGlone crossed paths with his how wife, Jessica. They were introduced by Matt's sister, Misty, aka their own personal cupid, who was also Jessica's friend and fellow nursing student. The two were instantly drawn to each other and quickly began spending all of their free time together. Despite his best efforts, Matt's opioid addiction quickly began to show itself in the form of broken promises, late arrivals, financial instability, communication breakdown, and secrecy. By this point, Matt had already been through multiple treatment programs, yet was unable to maintain his sobriety. He went on to participate in several more programs, including a Methadone program, and even spent time in jail before he was able to break the chains of addiction. If you are wondering what it was that finally allowed Matt to take back control of his life, he attributes his success to three things. First and foremost, Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Second, his wife and biggest supporter, Jessica. And Third, the medication Suboxone... and if he had to throw in a fourth thing, it would be his sons, Kyle and Alex, for giving him a purpose.
Throughout their journey, Matt and Jessica learned the ins and outs of addiction treatment. They witnessed what was working and wasn't, not only for Matt, but for others. As Matt's sobriety continued, he began acting as a mentor for others in recovery. Meanwhile, Jessica went on to earn her master's degree, begin working as a Nurse Practitioner, and has spent the past five years working in Addiction Medicine, Mental Health, and Correctional Facilities. Throughout those years, they have encountered countless people that were lacking the treatment they so badly needed. It became evident that they were being called to help individuals, families, and communities affected by substance abuse and in 2024, Radiant Prime Recovery was born.
